PURPOSE: A method for commercial CAD foundation's customization is disclosed to simplify the use of CAD by enabling the user to organize the menu according to his environment which is separate from complex menu provided while using two and three dimensional CAD. CONSTITUTION: A method for commercial CAD foundation's customization is composed of investigation, registration, arrangement, and selection. A user investigates frequently used menus from CAD system(S101) and the investigated menus are grouped according to their functions or to its usage processes(S102). Functional main menus are registered(S103) and registered menu's palettes are automatically created according to its systems and processes(S104). Icons and images to be registered are arranged and registered(S105,S106), selected image files are automatically summoned and selected as icon(S107), and a menu registration is completed. When the user clicks the icon to use the menu, designated command is sent to CAD software department(10) and CAD software department processes appropriate function in accordance to the delivered command.
