PURPOSE: An apparatus for embodying a DCC(Data Communication Channel) in a PCM(Pulse Code Modulation) channel processing apparatus is provided to be used for a PCM channel processing apparatus to insert its DCC data into the corresponding data channel or to extract the DCC data from a received signal. CONSTITUTION: A PCM channel processing apparatus(21) is comprised of a subscriber line multiplexor/demultiplexor(310), a main control part(320) and a DCC channel embodying apparatus(300). The subscriber line multiplexor/demultiplexor(310) multiplexes subscriber signals received from a subscriber line(27) and demultiplexes a DS1E signal received from a synchronous multiplexor/demultiplexor(22) to send out to a subscriber line(27). The main control part(320) in charge of the overall control of the PCM channel processing apparatus(21) generates DCC data and analyzes received DCC data. The DCC channel embodying apparatus(300) is composed of a DCC transmitting part(340) and a DCC receiving part(350). The DCC transmitting part(340) consists of a first microprocessor interface part(341) and a data transmitting part(342). The DCC receiving part(350) consists of an interrupt generation part(351), a serial/parallel conversion part(352), a DCC data storage part(353) and a second microprocessor interface part(354).
