摘要 PURPOSE: Provided is an ethylene polymer or copolymer of ethylene and alpha-olefine having bimodal structure or high molecular tail in molecular weight distribution in gas phase which is characterized by improved comonomer distribution by combining a certain high activity magnesium supported catalyst with a certain cocatalyst, wherein the supported catalyst includes transition metal in magnesium contained carrier. CONSTITUTION: A process contains the steps of: preparing a catalyst in gas phase polymerization by reacting (1) at least one of TiX(4-n)(OR)n type titanium compound, (2) magnesium, or RMgX type or RMgR type magnesium compounds, and (3) RX type alkyl halide compounds in molar ratio of 0.1≤ compoun(1)/compound(2)≤0.5, 0.5≤RX/Mg≤10, or 1≤RX/RMgX≤2, or 2≤RX/RMgX≤4; polymerizing the resultant catalyst and, as a cocatalyst, dimethyl aluminium chloride. In the compounds (1), (2), and (3), X is Cl or Br, R is an alkyl group with 2-8 carbon atoms, n is an integer of 0 to 4.
