<p>The board includes a core (1) comprised of packs of absorbent sheets of cellulose impregnated with phenolic resin, a thin sheet (2) of cellulose impregnated with melamine and a thin sheet (3) of laminated wood treated with a phenolic resin. The board also includes a pack (4) of shades with one to three translucent or transparent sheets of cellulose impregnated with melamine, melamine acrylic, phenolic or melamine phenolic, and a thin transparent acrylic sheet (5) with surface finish achieved by a thin peel-off sheet (6) applied during the board pressing process. The peel-off sheet can be either siliconized matte, a polypropylene or a siliconized gloss finish. Each thin sheet in the shade pack may contain a pigment extender of silicon dioxide, thus achieving different shades and abrasive strength.</p> |
