PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent soot from adhering to glass part without consuming energy uselessly while sustaining the room temperature at an appropriate level. SOLUTION: A pot burner (portable electrode) 4 is disposed in a pot shell 3 forming the lower side wall of a combustion chamber 2 while being connected electrically and a substantially tubular hot heat body 8 is disposed above the pot burner 4 while spaced apart therefrom. The hot heat body 8 is surrounded over the entire circumference thereof by a heat resistant glass part 9 forming the side wall at the shell part of the combustion chamber 2. The hot heat body 8 is imparted with electrical conductivity and insulated electrically from the outside. Further a circuit (DC high voltage applying means) 18 for applying a DC high voltage between the pot burner 4 and the hot heat body 8 is also provided.
