PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device for a four-cycle V-type engine to arrange a cushion valve in an optimum layout, to increase excellent characteristics and a maximum output, and to prevent the increase of the size of an engine. SOLUTION: In this intake device for four-cycle V-type engine 1 formed that a throttle valve is disposed in the middle of an intake passage 24 communicating with the combustion chambers of a plurality of cylinders arranged to form a V-bank, the intake passage 24 formed in a manner to extend from the V-bank inner side wall of each cylinder to the internal part of the V-bank, a fuel injection valve 21 disposed upper stream or downstream from a throttle valve 14 and injecting and feeding fuel in the intake passage 24, and a cushion valve 16 disposed upper stream from the throttle valve 14 in the intake passage 24 and controlling an increase speed of a flow rate of intake air such that the increase speed is different from an increase speed of a flow rate of intake air corresponding to an opening speed of a throttle valve 14 by changing the passage area of the intake passage according to the operation state of an engine are disposed in a V-bank projection region 4 where a space in the V-bank is projected to above a direction orthogonal to a crankshaft.
