PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce ink drops having substantially uniform volume by comparing the temperature of first and second print heads each other and generating a signal for heating the second print head if the temperature of the first print head is higher than that of the second print head. SOLUTION: A plurality of print heads 11-13 arranged in an array 10 are provided, respectively, with a temperature control unit 50 and connected through a temperature signal lead wire 30. The temperature control unit 50 of each print head 11-13 senses a signal on the temperature signal lead wire 30, compares the temperature of first and second print heads 11, 12 based on that signal and generates a signal for heating the second print head 12 if the temperature of the first print head 11 is higher than that of the second print head 12. |
