PRODUCTION OF BONDED ZEOLITE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a catalyst having high mechanical resistance and containing a zeolite and oligomeric silica without requiring a step for separating a zeolite crystal phase from an obtained suspension at the end of synthesis. SOLUTION: A tetraalkyl orthosilicate is optionally added to a suspension resulted from the synthesis of a zeolite by the hydrothermal treatment of a reagent mixture containing tetraalkylammonium hydroxide as a template under the pressure the reactants create, the suspension is rapidly dried and the resulting product is fired to obtain the objective fine spherical zeolite catalyst having high mechanical strength and containing oligomeric silica.
