<p>PURPOSE: A slider for use of a double-cylinder circular knitting machine is provided to achieve a simplified structure of a cam set while significantly reducing the number of actuation cams required for actuating the slider. CONSTITUTION: A slider comprises an elongated laminar bodies(12) having a first vertical side surface(13) positioned on a bottom surface(81a) of an axial slot(80) formed at a curved surface of a lower or upper needle cylinder(81), and at least two heels(15, 16) arranged onto a second vertical side surface(14) of the laminar body(12), the side surface(14) being arranged to face the side surface(13), the heels(15, 16) being protruded traversely the vertical extension of the laminar body(12), wherein the first heel(15) of the two heels(15, 16) is arranged on a portion of the laminar body(12) movable with respect to the remaining portion of the laminar body in a direction having a component traversing the vertical extension of the laminar body such that the first heel(15) moves from the non-operational position to the operational position or vice versa, and the first heel(15) is further spaced from the first side surface(13) of the laminar body at the operational position than at the non-operational position.</p> |
