PURPOSE: A swash plate for a swash plate type compressor is provided to achieve an enhanced seizure resistance and wear resistance of an aluminium alloy layer which is flame-sprayed on the swash plate while flame-spraying carbonaceous material like lead or MoS2 along with a high Si-Al alloy on the swash plate. CONSTITUTION: A swash plate for a swash plate type compressor comprises a substrate, and a flame-sprayed layer deposited onto the substrate, the layer containing, by weight percentage, not less than 12% and not more than 60% of Si, and a matrix made up of an aluminum alloy dispersed with Si particles, the matrix containing a dispersed phase of one or more kind selected from a group consisting of graphitic carbon, amorphous carbon, carbon having a degree of crystallinity intermediate between those of the graphitic carbon and amorphous carbon, and MoS2, |
