PURPOSE: A memory control circuit is provided to discriminate a type of memory, prevent a logic invalid state from a high impedance state, and reduce a power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A memory control circuit comprises a bus hold circuit, a controller, and an invalidating means. The bus hold circuit holds a static of the memory bus. The controller controls a valid and invalid state of the bus hold circuit. The invalidating means invalidates the bus hold circuit in discriminating the type of the memory.
