PURPOSE: An apparatus for processing digital broadcasting signal with improved channel interference of analog broadcasting and a method thereof are provided to compensate the difference of co-channel interference. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for processing digital broadcasting signal with improved channel interference of analog broadcasting includes a carrier reproducer(207), a carrier frequency detector(208), an offset frequency calculator(209), a controller(206), a multiplier(210), a NRF(NTSC rejection filter), a multiplexor(214), and an analog broadcasting interference detector(213). The carrier reproducer(207) generates carrier. The carrier frequency detector(208) detects the frequency of the carrier generated in the carrier reproducer. The offset frequency calculator(209) calculates δf which is the difference between the detected carrier frequency and the specified carrier frequency. The controller(206) generates tuning control signal. The NRF removes analog broadcasting component. The analog broadcasting interference detector(213) generates selection control signal for the NRF.
