PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a sure and automatic joining together of the terminal parts of band-like rubber strip materials due to the coincidence of the cutting surfaces of a plurality of the band-like rubber strip materials at all times and the possibility of setting arbitrary size of the cutting area. SOLUTION: In a joining-together device 1, a laterally moving table 2, which arranges the terminal parts of a plurality of band-like rubber strip materials W1, W2 and W3 normal to the conveying line L-L of each band-like rubber strip material on a row at fixed intervals and, at the same time, horizontally and laterally shifts the band-like rubber strip materials W2 and W3 to the conveying line L-L by every one pitch P. Above the laterally moving table 2, a detecting means S1 such as a phototube or the like for detecting the rear end part of the band-like rubber strip material W1, a cutting device 3 for simultaneously cutting the terminal parts of the band-like rubber strip materials W1, W2 and W3 at the same inclination angle, the supportingly ressure-bonding device of the terminal part of the vertically moving band-like rubber strip material W1 under the state that the previous band-like rubber strip material W1 is held and a pressure-bonding device for joining the tip of the following band-like rubber strip material W2 with the rear end of the previous band-like rubber strip material W1 are provided. |
