PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a stop mark of a roll from being traced on a roll surface even when the movement of a metallic sheet is stopped by opening a pair of rolls out of a plurality of roll pairs before the metallic sheet is arrived, closing immediately after the tip of the metallic sheet is passed, and closing other pairs of rolls both before and after the metallic sheet is passed. SOLUTION: At least a pair of rolls 3A out of liquid removing roll pair groups are pressed against each other before a tip part 10 of a metallic sheet is arrived. At least a pair of rolls 3B of other pairs of rolls are opened before the tip part 10 of the metallic sheet is arrived, and closed immediately after the tip part 10 of the metallic sheet passes through the roll pairs 3B by the tracking information, and the tip part is pressed against the rolls. A pair of rolls 3A are closed when the tip part 10 of the metallic sheet is arrived. Since the tip part 10 of the metallic sheet can pass between the rolls without colliding with the roll surface, the surfaces of the roll pairs 3B are not damaged. No parts are present where no liquid is removed over the whole length including the tip part 10 of the metallic sheet.
