PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliced type multi-stage pump having high safety with the fluid leak reduced, capable of making uniform the temp. distribution on component part such as a suction casing or fastening bolts. SOLUTION: A sliced type multi-stage pump is composed of a suction casing 3, discharge casing 5 and a plurality of fastening bolts V which are fastened by bolts V, and is equipped with a balancing mechanism 14 positioned on the side with a discharge casing 5 and having a balance chamber 17, a suction side fluid convection chamber 18 installed in the suction casing 3 as positioned oppositely to a suction hole 2 and in communication with the suction hole 2, a discharge side fluid convection chamber 20 installed in the discharge casing 5 as positioned opposite the discharge hole 4 and in communication with the balance chamber 17, and a fluid flowing pipe 21 leading from the suction side convection chamber 18 to the discharge side convection chamber 20.
