摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject resin capable of improving moldability in molding and processing, retention stability, etc., having excellent hue by making the resin include a specific structure terminal group to a polycarbonate having a specific melt viscosity stability and a specified terminal hydroxyl group concentration. SOLUTION: This aromatic polycarbonate resin has <=0.5% melt viscosity stability, 3-50 eq/ton terminal hydroxyl group concentration, contains 1-30 wt.% based on the terminal hydroxyl group of at least one kind of a terminal group selected from the group consisting of groups of formula I to formula III (X, Y and Z are each O or S; R1 to R17 are each a 1-10C hydrocarbon; m, n, p, s and t are each 0 or a positive integer of 1-4) and comprises a main repeating unit of formula IV (R'1 to R'4 are each H, a 1-10C alkyl or the like; W is an alkylidene or the like). The resin is obtained by melt polymerization in the presence of a transesterification catalyst containing 10-500μchemical equivalent of a basic nitrogen compound and/or a basic phosphorus compound and 0.05-1μchemical equivalent of an alkali metal compound and/1 mol of an aromatic hydroxy compound.
