PRODUCTION PROCESS OF CORE SHELL RUBBER MODIFIED PHENOL HARDENING AGENT WITH HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT

PURPOSE: A core shell rubber modified phenol hardening agent with high molecular weight is provided which is used as a raw material of epoxy powder paint that has favorable mechanical properties and storage in low temperature so that it is widely used in producing powder paint for a coil spring or so on. CONSTITUTION: In the production of core shell rubber modified phenol hardening agent with high molecular weight, 10-70 wt% of core shell rubber resin is reacted with 100 wt% of compounds which is consisted of epoxy compounds with low molecular weight, novlac epoxy resin and fatty group epoxy resin to produce core shell rubber modified epoxy resin with low molecular weight. The produced resin is reacted with multivalent phenol in a 1.0-4.0 mole ratio. Then 1-15 wt% of promoting agent to the entire phenol hardening agent composition is added to produce high polymer core shell rubber modified phenol hardening agent with 200-1000 g/eq hydroxide radical equivalence.
