PURPOSE: An apparatus for receiving digital broadcasting for personal computers is provided to insert a pilot into encoded data and to output the encoded data as MPEG2 transport digital data. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for receiving digital broadcasting for personal computers includes a digital television tuner(100), a saw filter(200), a demodulator(300), a VSB(vestigial side band) receiver(400), a PC(personal computer) interface(600), and a display(500). The digital television tuner(100) performs on received RF(radio frequency) signal double conversion and converts the result with an intermediate frequency. The saw filter(200) rejects adjacent channel. The demodulator(300) detects the pilot signal. The VSB receiver(400) performs synchronous recovery. The PC interface(600) stores the digital data in a hard disk drive. The display(500) outputs a channel tuning control signal to a digital television tuner(100). |
