PURPOSE: A retaining spring device for a partial lining disk brake housing is provided to perfectly prevent the tilting of an external brake pad. CONSTITUTION: A retaining spring device for a partial lining disk brake housing contains the following characteristics: a retaining spring (52) has at least one spring arm (54, 56) extending essentially in circumferential direction and gripping together radially a disk brake housing (12) and a brake holder; to prevent extensively tilting of the external brake lining, the retaining spring device for a partial lining disk brake housing provides for a holding element (34), specially one made of sheet metal, for the holding device of the housing retaining spring on the brake lining (16); the holding device is supported on a section of the brake housing.
