PURPOSE: A method for operating a remoter controller is provided to prevent unnecessary operation signal transmission as an operation signal transmission at a specific time when present transmitting operation signals are the same as former transmitting operation signals. CONSTITUTION: A method for operating a remote controller comprises the steps of: resetting a timer and setting up a transmission temperature of a present temperature; transmitting an operation signal displaying the transmission temperature and an operated status of an operation button; clearing a variable number(S3); waiting for passing of a specific time and an operation of the operation button(S4); if the operation button is operated, substituting the present temperature into the transmission temperature and returning to the S3; if the specific time is passed, determining whether the present temperature is the same as the transmission temperature and whether the variable number is the same as 2; and if is the same as the transmission temperature and is not as 2, respectively, applying increment to the variable number 1 as much and returning to the S4.
