PURPOSE: A method for driving a liquid crystal display device is provided to minimize the disclination in liquid crystal layer due to the latitudinal electrical field applied on the liquid crystal layer. CONSTITUTION: A method for driving liquid crystal display device includes a step of applying a common voltage substantially same to the magnitude center voltage of alternative driving voltage signal. The liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate(10A), a second substrate(10B), a liquid crystal layer(10C), TFT(thin film transistor)s(11<SB POS="POST">1</SB>,11<SB POS="POST">2</SB>,11<SB POS="POST">3</SB>,11<SB POS="POST">4</SB>), a conductive pattern, pixel electrodes(P<SB POS="POST">1</SB>,P<SB POS="POST">2</SB>,PIXEL), an auxiliary electrode(C<SB POS="POST">2</SB>s), and an alignment electrode(15). The conductive pattern is connected to the TFTs and supplies alternative driving signal to the TFTs. The alignment electrode(15) is formed on the second substrate(10B).
