PURPOSE: A novel themomigrant azo pigment is provided which shows good solidity toward various directions, high coloring strength, bright tone and especially excellent thermomigrant solidity. CONSTITUTION: A thermomigrant azo pigment is shown in a chemical formula 1 wherein D is aryl or hetaryl except 3,4-dinitro-6-ethanesulfonylphenyl, A is -CO- or -SO2-, B is optionally substituted C1-C4-alkyl, R¬1 and R¬2 are C1-C4-alkyl which is replaced by OH- or C1-C4-alkoxy- independently and R¬3 and R4 are H or CH3 independently. Herein, if D is 6-nitrobenzotiazolyl, A is SO2. This pigment is useful in dyeing synthetic textile materials and printing textiles.
