PURPOSE: A structure for preventing water leakage of a water pump for a vehicle is provided to prevent degradation of appearance of an engine body by forming a drain chamber on the lower part of a water pump casing and degradation of durability of a V belt due to falling of cooling water leaked into the water pump to the V belt of a cylinder block. CONSTITUTION: A drain chamber(100) is formed on the lower part of a casing(20) of a water pump(5). A semicircular extended part(101) is protruded from the lower part of the water pump casing. A plug(102) is forcibly installed between the casing and the extended part to form a certain size of chamber. Herein, the cooling water formed of vapor soaked among sealing rubber, ceramic, a thrust plate and a rotary plate into water drops by being collected between a bearing and a rotor shaft and falling on the bottom via the drain hole is collected in the drain chamber. If the amount of the cooling water collected in the drain chamber increases, the plug installed on the front end of the drain chamber is separated.
