PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion joint having pressure proof, fire resistance and airtightness and which can be applied not only to a square duct but also to a round duct. SOLUTION: This expansion joint is set between ducts of a duct device for airconditioning and is furnished with an upstream side casing part 11 connected to the upstream side duct, a downstream side casing part 14 connected to the downstream side duct, an expansion induction member 19 induces an expanding direction of the upstream side casing part 11 or the downstream side casing part 14 by connecting the upstream side casing part 11 and the downstream side casing part 14 to each other, a stopper 20 to restrain expansion and/or contraction of the upstream side casing part 11 and the downstream side casing part 14, a pressureproofing means made by bending a downstream side end part of the upstream side casing part 11 and an airtight part 17 provided on a peripheral part of the downstream side casing part 14 by making airtightly contact with the upstream side casing part 11 and filled with fireproofing fiber.
