PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conform the sliding direction of a pad to the groove direction due to machining streak by forming the machining streak into a concentric circle centering around a disk rotary axis, in a brake disk having machining streak on the sliding face with which a brake pad pressure contacts and made of aluminum alloy. SOLUTION: In the sliding face 20 of a brake disk 3, surface finishing streak is formed into a concentric circle centering around a disk rotary axis C, and a concentric groove 28 is formed following to the streak. At this time, the grooves 28 are formed into concentric circles at small intervals of under 1 mm or in the order of severalμm. By forming the grooves 28 into such concentric circles, a brake pad does not traverse the recessed and projecting section, consequently, the brake pad does not hit the projecting part of a plating surface not to apply intermittent impulsive force, and hence the plating is prevented from peeling.
