PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a high permeability metallic glass alloy for high-frequency extremely wide in the temp. intervalsδTx in a supercooled liq. region, exhibiting soft magnetism at a room temp., producible more thickly than an amorphous alloy this strip obtainable by the conventional melt quenching method, moreover low in magnetostriction, high in specific resistance and high in permeability in a high-frequency region. SOLUTION: This alloy contains one or >= two kinds among Fe, Co and Ni as essential components and one or >= two kinds among Zr, Nb, Ta, Hf, Mo, Ti, V, Cr and W and B, in which the temp. intervalsδTx in a supercooled liq. region expressed by the formula ofδTx=Tx-Tg (where Tx denotes crystallization starting temp., and Tg denotes glass transition temp.) is controlled to >=20 K, and specific resistance is controlled to >=200μΩ.cm.
