PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a preparation for winding a larger quantity of length by providing one united body type with a filter and a core body bonded together with the core body having a bulky shape and flexibility thereby having a large water passing cross section as a drain material in earth suited to a foundation improvement work at a great depth under a high earth pressure. SOLUTION: A filter 1 and a core body 2 are formed to one united body by jointing part of spacer of the core body 2 to the last end portion thereby making the filter 1 and core body 2 in one united body type. Also, the core body 2 comprises a central board and an upper spacer located at the one side and a lower spacer located at the opposite side, and the central board and the spacer are formed in one united body by a synthetic resin of the same material. In this case, the upper and lower portion spacer is arranged perpendicularly to each central board at the opposite side of both the surfaces of the central board. The intersection point between the upper spacer and the central board is so arranged that it does not align on the same line where the intersection point between the lower spacer and central board is located. In this way, a water drain member which can be easily bent by decreasing a drag against the deflection of the water drain member in the longitudinal direction is produced and can be wound for longer distance by the reel having the same outer diameter.
