PURPOSE: A MPEG2 video decoder is provided to share picture header detector and stack memory member in order to reduce memory amount required by conventional video decoder. CONSTITUTION: A MPEG2 video decoder includes a system parser(31), a first memory, a second memory, a VLD(variable length decoding, 34), an inverse quantization/IDCT(inverse discrete cosine transform, 36), a motion compensator(38), and an interpolation. The system parser(31) parses bit streams received from outside. At the first memory stores the output. The second memory stores start addresses when a picture header detector and outputs the stored projection to the first memory. The VLD(34) receives video bit stream and variable length decoding(12), The inverse quantization/IDCT(36) restores real DCT coefficients by inverse quantization and inverse DCT the output of the VLD. The motion compensator(38) receives previous pictures and restores original image from the pictures. The interpolation includes interpolation part. |
