PURPOSE: A method for receiving doubled caption and caption television are provided to display not only English caption but also Korean caption at the same time on a screen. CONSTITUTION: A method for receiving doubled caption includes a synchronous signal separator(200), a field detector(300), a controller(600), a first caption decoder(1000), a second caption decoder(1100), and a switch(700). The synchronous signal separator(200) detects horizontal and vertical synchronous signals. The field detector(300) detects whether the field is odd or even. The controller(600) generates control signal according to the field detected in the field detector. The first caption decoder(1000) interprets caption data included in even fields. The second caption decoder(1100) interprets caption data included in odd fields. The switch(700) applies the broadcasting signal to the first or second caption decoder. |
