PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an alloy sheet easily moldable to the shape of a bath tub and high in strength after porcelain enameling treatment by preparing an aluminum alloy sheet contg. Cu in a specified range, and in which the content of Mg is controlled to the value equal to or below the specified one. SOLUTION: From aluminum molten metal contg., by weight, 1.0 to 3.0% Cu, and in which the content of Mg is controlled to <=0.1 wt.%, an aluminum alloy sheet stock is melted and cast, which is subjected to homogenizing heat treatment and is successively subjected to hot rolling and cold rolling to control its thickness into the prescribed one, and annealing is executed to produce an aluminum alloy sheet. The strength of the alloy sheet at this time is preferably controlled to <=150 MPa, at the time of confronting hydrostatic molding by the friction holding effect between the material to be molded and a punch and the friction reducing effect between the material to be molded and a die, the material to be molded is made easy to flow, and deep drawing is made easy. Moreover, its strength after porcelain enameling treatment is preferably controlled to >=180 MPa.
