PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To a method for producing a plate using a thick lathe veneer in which a base material can not be seen even when groove processing is applied on the surface and which is stable in quality and can obtain lengthy and wide products. SOLUTION: By passing through a lamination process in which a lathe veneer 2 is stuck on the surface of a base material 1 to produce a laminated plate, a cutting process in which the laminated plate is divided to cut out laminated plate pieces, a joint processing process in which the laminated plate pieces are processed to form joint parts 6, a process in which the processed laminated pieces are connected by the joint parts 6 to form a longitudinally jointed plate, a width joining process in which a plate is formed by using the jointed plates, the plate 8 in which the surface is the lathe veneer 2 can be obtained.
