METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MOLD FROM FOAMED POLYMER PARTICLES

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a mold from foamed polymer particles is provided to economically produce a stable mold with foamed particles by using microwave energy. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing a mold from foamed polymer particles, the foamed particles(1) is processed by a microwave absorption agent and received in a bag(2) in the shape of gas-tight foil. The bag has a connector(3) for vacuum pump and is disposed on or inserted in a shaped mold(6). If the air in the bag on the shaped mold is removed, a mold body(10) is formed as a condensed particle package. While maintaining a local pressure in the bag, the foamed particles in the mold body are radiated by microwave energy(5) to melt the surface and such a produced a final mold body is utilized as an impact absorption element in various fields.
