MINIATURE VARIABLE ATTENUATOR FOR VERY HIGH FREQUENCY AND ULTRASHORT FREQUENCY BAND

PURPOSE: A miniature variable attenuator for a very high frequency band and an ultrashort frequency band is provided to prevent current consumption at a minimum attenuation by arranging a diode for a signal path in parallel when variably attenuating the signal of the Very High Frequency band(30-300MHz) and the Ultra High Frequency band(300-3000MHz) received from a RF treatment device. Another object of the present invention is to maintain an impedance matching regardless of attenuation degree by connecting an attenuator arranging the diode for signal path in parallel, symmetrically for the sake of a conjugate matching. Other object of the present invention is to make the device miniaturized by substituting a focus element circuit for the transmission path of the attenuator. CONSTITUTION: A miniature variable attenuator for a very high frequency band and an ultrashort frequency band comprises: a former attenuation section(200) variably attenuates input signals of a very high frequency band and an ultrashort frequency band according to an electric power supplied after matching an input impedance of the variable attenuator with a constant value; a latter attenuation section(300) attenuates a signal outputted through the former attenuation section according to the electric power supplied to the former attenuation section by matching the output impedance of the variable attenuator with a specific value while symmetrically connected with the former attenuation section; and an electric power section(100) controls the amount of attenuation of the input signals by suppling an adjusted DC power from the outside to the former attenuation section as well as the latter attenuation section.
