PURPOSE: A semiconductor ceramic and semiconductor ceramic element is provided to decrease a resistance at the elevated temperature, having a proper resistance at low temperature, and to maintain an impedance due to the capacitance. CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor ceramic and semiconductor ceramic element comprises a semiconductor ceramic sintering(2) and an external electrode(3,4). The semiconductor ceramic sintering(2) contains 0.1-10 mol % content by converting a lanthanum cobalt oxide as the primary component and a chromium oxide as the secondary component into an element, and, also, contains 0.001-0.5 mol % content which converts at least one oxide of Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs, Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Ni, Cu, and Zn in the element.
