PURPOSE: A USB(universal serial bus) camera having infrared communication capability is provided to enable a PC(personal camera) camera to communicate using infrared wave. CONSTITUTION: A USB camera having infrared communication capability includes an input(10), a CCD(Charge Coupled Device,20), a CDS/AGC(Correlated Double Sampling/Auto Gain Control,30), a timing changer(50), a DSP(Digital Signal Processor,60), a USB processor(70), and a micro processor(80). The input(10) receives light through an infrared filter. The CCD(20) converts light to electrical signal. The CDS/AGC(30) controls the signal component to maintain constant voltage level. The DSP(60) compensates brightness/color signals. The USB processor(70) transmits data in one of two method of isochronous type and interrupt type. The micro processor(80) controls overall part of the camera.
