PURPOSE: Hangul input method and Hangul input device of a communication terminal are provided to easily input Hangul by a simple key manipulation, by displaying a pre-stored completion-type character if a check button is input after Hangul tone is input from a key pad of a communication terminal, and then displaying a corresponding character according to an allocated number input. CONSTITUTION: A user selects Hangul input mode by pressing a mode selection key(32), a microprocessor(42) sets Hangul input mode, displays consonant and vowel of Hangul being input from a key pad(30) on LCD display part(46). If a confirmation key(34) is input, a pre-stores completion-type Hangul of Hangul storage part(45) is read, and is displayed on LCD display part(46). If the user inputs a number key(31) corresponding to a number allocated to the displayed completion-type Hangul, a microprocessor(42) displays a corresponding Hangul on the LCD display part(46), and detects a key input of the key pad(30). If there is a number key(31)'s input according to Hangul input. the Hangul input step is repeated, If the detected key input is the stored key(34), the input completion-type Hangul is stored in a character storage part(38), and a Hangul input mode is released.
