The invention relates to particles comprising a peroxy compound with capability of realeasing hydrogen peroxide or peroxy acids in aqueous solutions and an amino acid of the formula (HOOC)2 N - CnHmCOOH - R in which R is H, CH2OH OR CH3, n is 1, 2 or 3 and m is 0-2n; or a salt thereof. The invention also relates to use of the particles and a composition comprising such particles.
