PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct automatic cooking accurately by detecting the surface color of a toasted article to be cooked and temperature variation in a cooking chamber where inner temperature of the article is balanced to cause no uneven toasting accurately and stably. SOLUTION: A toaster oven comprises an inner housing 3 forming a cooking chamber 2 arranged with a heater and a toasting net 6, and a door 7 for opening/closing the front opening of the inner housing 3, wherein a heat shield plate 17 having a plane for shielding radiation heat from the heater to a temperature 16 is fixed to the inner housing. A lower heater is disposed under the toasting net 6 and more than one upper heater having different heater temperature is disposed above the toasting net 6.
