PURPOSE: A method for selecting a vocoder for a mobile communication network is provided for automatically setting one among multiple vocoder supported by a switch in the case that various vocoder are installed in a terminal. CONSTITUTION: When a MS(1) is activated in accordance with a control of a user, the MS(1) transmits a user's number of a signal arrival and an information which informs an operating unit among the vocoder in the MS(1) to a BS(2). The BS(2) applies a communication request signal to a switch(3) in accordance with an activation of the MS(1). A switch(3) implements a signal channel connection process in accordance with a SCCP(Signaling connection control Part) and transmits a signal channel connection confirmation signal to the BS(2). |
