PURPOSE: A phone number storage and search method for an electronic notebook are provided to search a name though the user does not know the exact name or letter in Korean as well as in English through allowing a search by the initial consonant in Korean, and by the first letter in English. CONSTITUTION: A phone number storage and search method in an electronic notebook consists of four parts. A key input part is the part that phone numbers and letters are input, and pertinent menus. A Micom executes a storage and search functions, and controls all actions in the electronic notebook. A indication part shows the output signals through the control of the Micom. And there's an internal memory, or an external memory that is controlled by the Micom. The system allows an user to search a name by the initial consonant in Korean, and by a first letter in English.
