PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatic position control for a television receiver set using a remote controller is provided to rotate the television set using the remote controller. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for automatic position control for a television receiver set using a remote controller includes two optical receivers(10,20,20a,20b), a controller(22), and a support/actuator(2). The two optical receivers(10,20,20a,20b) are implemented on left and right side of the television set and detects optical signals from the remote controller. The controller(22) generates control signal to rotate the television set based on the detected signal from the optical receivers. The support/actuator(2) supports the television set and the rotate the television set horizontally.
