PURPOSE: A primer composition for building, which is excellent in mechanical/physical properties, is provided by adding hardeners such as amidoamine, poly amide, and Mannich-base to main subject composed of epoxy resin and monoepoxy diluent. CONSTITUTION: A primer comprises the followings: 65-90 pts. by wt. of epoxy for 100 pts. by wt. of primer main subject composition in which the epoxy has equivalent in the range of 184-190 and has viscosity in the range of 11,500-13,500 cps at 25°C; 10-35 pts. by wt. of monoepoxy diluent to 100 pts. wt. of primer main subject composition in which the epoxy has equivalents in the range of 240-265 and has viscosity in the range of 5-20 cps at 25°C; 40-60 pts. by wt. of amidoamine for 100 by weight of primer hardener composition in which the equivalents of the active hydrogen of the amidoamine compounds is 85-90 and gel time is 115-120 minutes at 20°C; 20-40 by weight of polyamide compounds for 100 by weight of primer hardener composition in which the equivalents of the active hydrogen of the poly amide compounds is 110-115 and gel time is 60-70 minutes at 20°C; and 10-30 by weight of Mannich-base for 100 by weight of primer hardener composition in which the equivalents of the active hydrogen of Mannich-base is 70-80 and gel time is 10-15 minutes at 20°C.
