PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise a boom without hindrance even when a bucket has reached a restraint surface, when the operation of raising the boom and the operation of an arm for scooping are carried out, in a backhoe such that a backhoe device is automatically stopped when the bucket reaches the restraint surface set forward of a drive part. SOLUTION: When the operation of raising a boom 4 and the operation of an arm 5 for scooping cause a bucket 6 to reach a set position D1 which is spaced a set distance away from a restraint surface A1 in a forward direction, the operation of the arm 5 for scooping is decelerated so that the arm 5 is operated for discharging mud, or so that the operation of the arm 5 for scooping is halted. Next, when the bucket 6 reaches the restraint surface A1, the boom 4 is operated to rise as the arm 5 is operated for discharging mud.
