PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire spread prevention structure and a fire spread prevention member, with which the fire spread prevention member can be easily installed and positioned, capable of coping with even a small clearance dimension of an air passage. SOLUTION: In this fire spread prevention structure, a fire spread prevention member 1 made of long incombustible material is mounted in an air circulation passage R formed between a wall structure and each exterior wall panel 3. The cross-sectional shape of the fire spread prevention member 1 is a hollow, square cylinder, which is formed into a wedge shape where the distance between side faces 13, 14 is narrowed downwards. A plurality of through holes 15, 16 to be arranged in positions longitudinally offset relative to each other are formed respectively in the upper and lower faces 11, 12 of the fire spread prevention member 1, and the side faces 13, 14 of the fire spread prevention member 1 are provided while being pressed into clearance between the wall structure and each exterior wall panel 3.
