PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internally threaded fishing rod capable of controlling transfer of a top rod in axial direction to a base rod when fishline is passed through the interior of rod. SOLUTION: This internally threaded fishing rod has a fishline inserting passage P in the interior and is equipped with a top rod 11, a base rod 1 and middle rods 13 and 12. In the top rod 11, a yarn guide part 11a is provided at the tip and an engaging part 15a is provided at the rear end. The base rod 1 has a yarn introducing part 5 for introducing a fishline L into the fishline inserting passage P. The middle rods 13 and 12 can be fitted into the tip of the base rod 1 so that the rear end is positioned in the vicinity of the yarn introducing part 5 and can house the top rod 11 in the interior, and the engaging part 15a has an engageable engaging receiving part 17a at the rear end. The top rod 11 and the middle rods 13 and 12 are engaged with the engaging part 15a and the engaging receiving part 17a at a relative angle position and the engaging is releasable at the other angle position.
