PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission device for compact vehicle provided with a fluid transmission means in a transmission path between an engine and a multistage transmission so as to eliminate creep phenomenon of the fluid transmission means and perform shift operation of the transmission lightly. SOLUTION: In a transmission device for compact vehicle in which a crank shaft 2 of an engine E is connected with an input shaft 10 of a multistage transmission M through a fluid transmission means T having a pump impeller 50 continuous with the engine E and a turbine impeller continuous with a transmission M side, a shift clutch Cc is provided in series with the fluid transmission means T between the crank shaft 2 of the engine E and the multistage transmission M.
