PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To work a sheet-like flexible printed circuit board with uniform tension applied thereto, by applying tension in a first direction to the flexible board and in a second direction different from the first direction through a clamping member for clamping the edge of the flexible board. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a clamping part 2 for clamping :the edges such as four corners of a flexible printed circuit board (FPC). When the long side direction of the FPC1 is taken to be X-direction and the short side direction is taken to be Y-direction, the clamping part 2 is fitted with a first to a fourth support parts 3-6 supporting relatively movably in the X and Y directions. The first to fourth support parts 3-6 are respectively provided with a driving part. Thus, four corners of the FPC1 formed like a sheet are clamped by the clamping part 2, moved in the X-direction and Y-direction by the driving parts and a hole is bored with tension of the FPC1 made uniform, so that the boring position accuracy and shape accuracy can be heightened.
