EPISOMALLY REPLICATED VECTOR AND ITS PRODUCTION AND USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new episomally replicated vector which contains at least one scaffold/matrix adhesive domains, has at least one virus or eucariotic replication origins and is improved in the retention of gene and useful as a medicine, a diagnostic drug or the like. SOLUTION: This vector is a new vector, which contains at least one scaffold/matrix adhesive domains (S/MAR), has at least one virus or eucariotic replication origins (ORI) and is episomally replicated, avoids all type of cell transformation or immunoreaction and is improved in the retention of gene and useful as a medicine, a diagnostic drug or the like. This vector is obtained by inserting S/MAR fragment from the 5'-domain of human interferon β gene quarried out from plasmid PTZ-E20, SV40 ORI consisting of the gene coding for SV40 'large T antigene', PUC ORI and resistance gene Kan/Neo or the like into a polylinker.
