PURPOSE: A method for preparing high purity calcium hypochlorite is provided to use a domestic lime mass as a reactant, to improve efficiency of the process, to suppress side reactions, to obtain sodium chloride having good quality as a by product as well as to maximize the yield of calcium hypochlorite. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing high purity calcium hypochlorite according to the present invention comprises mixing slaked lime slurry and independently prepared sodium hypochlorite and chlorinating with chlorine to obtain calcium hypochlorite wherein the method characterized in that domestic slaked lime having low quality grade is purified by a physical method and used as a starting material, 45% aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide is used to prepare sodium hypochlorite without diluting, aging at temperature of 12-18°C, at the stirring speed of 20-200 rpm under crystal growing condition for 1-5 hours, recovering and recycling calcium hypochlorite dissolved and discharged in the reaction liquor at temperature of 38-42°C, at the stirring speed of 50-500 rpm under dibasifying condition for 0.2-2 hours and the dibasic residue generated in the said dibasifying reaction is recycled. |
