ACCESS TO INTERNET DATA THROUGH TELEVISION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An access to the internet data through a television system is provided to access the internet without a computer by using an interactive television in two-way communication. CONSTITUTION: A source of television signals(10) such as, a terrestrial antenna or a cable, is connected to a television tuner(11). The output of tuner(11) is a modulated intermediate frequency signal containing video and audio television information. Internet data including an internet site is stored at the internet data memory(36) connected to a microprocessor(24) which controls the systems linked to the internet data memory(36), and a program for the microprocessor(24) is installed at a ROM(26). A remote controller(28) is connected to the microprocessor(24) to control an icon on a television screen, and a register contained data related to a cursor position data is connected to the microprocessor(24) and the video processor(30), and the microprocessor (24)controls a tuner to change or save the channel and is connected to PIP chip(19) to select the PIP mode.
